Gloria was born at Mosquito Bore at Utopia 1945c. She is an Anmatyarre speaker and her country is Atnankere. Gloria has had a successful career as an artist. She has painted silk batiks and acrylic paint on canvas, linen and paper. The traditional inherited stories that she paints are ; Mountain Devil Lizard, Ceremonial Body Paint, Wildflowers, Grasses and Leaves. Gloria has exhibited in group and individual exhibitions since the late 1970’s. Gloria first gained recognition in silk batik with exhibitions held nationally and internationally. She participated in the Summer Project exhibition for painting and has continued to work in this medium. Gloria and her sisters Ada, Kathleen, Nancy, Myrtle and Violet have participated in exhibitions and are well represented in public and private collections. Gloria was named as one of Australia’s 50 most collectable artists in Australian Art Collector magazine in, 1999 and 2000.
